Support young people to become more active and connect with their peers in a safe environment.
Our club runs every Saturday night during term time. We have many kids on our books who enjoy getting together with friends and meeting new friends. Both the junior and senior sessions are popular and make a difference to kids of all ages.
We think a club for young people to have somewhere safe to go to on a Saturday night is vital for all young people in our community and hope to make our club as sustainable as possible over the coming months and years.
You will be working with youth club volunteers, local groups and organisations to plan, coordinate, and deliver youth club sessions. As well as planning trips and supporting community events. This is a great opportunity to contribute positively towards the development of young people in the area.
Time – approximately 3 hours a week.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities.
- Encourage participation and inclusion, ensuring every young person feels valued, respected, and able to contribute.
- Promote a safe environment by following safeguarding policies, recognising concerns, and reporting issues appropriately.
- Work as part of a team with other volunteers to organise sessions, events, and trips.
- Communicate effectively with young people, parents/guardians, and fellow volunteers when required.
