Class 2 Driver

Job Summary

Rapier Employment is seeking a Class 2 Driver for a full-time, ongoing contract position based in Maidstone. This role offers a pay rate of £18.38 per hour, rising to £27.56 per hour after 48 hours, with weekly PAYE payments and overtime available. Newly qualified drivers welcome to apply. Immediate starts are available for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer pre‑calls
• Obtain proof of delivery
• Ensure safe unloading of goods
• Complete multi‑drop deliveries to customers
• Provide a high level of customer service at every stop
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and safely

Shift Pattern

• Flexible shift patterns available
• Weekend work may be required
• Not a standard Monday–Friday role – flexibility is essential

Requirements

• Valid Category C (Class 2) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No DR10, CD10, or IN10 endorsements
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and well‑organised
• Able to pass theory and practical driving assessments
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential
