Job Overview
Protect our customer’s property, people, and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes. Deliver results that meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators/Service Level Agreements through full responsibility and accountability, supporting contract retention. Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development.
Operations
- Be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies, legal, and regulatory requirements directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
- Proactively review the Assignment Instructions, familiarise yourself with changes, and suggest amendments that improve service levels.
- Maintain compliance with industry and statutory legislation, including possession of a front‑line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision, a CCTV PSS SIA Licence, and any additional required courses.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work systematically, methodically, and orderly.
Training
- Fully complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.
- Renew licence at least 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes and take appropriate action to reduce disruptions, loss, or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation appears threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and challenging customer interactions.
- Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry after any incident for the Incident Report process.
- Adhere to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous security experience.
- SIA licence.
- SC clearance desirable.
