Nursery Team Member (Horticultural) – Webbs, Wychbold

Overview

Webbs is an award‑winning garden centre retailer with four stores and a growing e‑commerce business. Join our Wychbold store as a Nursery Team Member (Horticultural) and work closely with the Nursery Manager and team members on day‑to‑day horticultural activities.

Responsibilities

• Weeding, watering and feeding plants, pruning and tidying work areas
• Operate garden machinery (including a tractor after training, subject to age)
• Potting and dispatching plants as required
• Use manual handling and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Apply basic IT and administration skills for labelling and stock management

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant experience in a nursery or horticultural setting
• Basic knowledge of plant growing techniques, care practices, plant identification and pest and disease awareness
• Formal horticultural qualification preferred
• PA1/PA6 spraying certificate and qualified Counterbalance FLT driver advantageous
• Positive, flexible, hard‑working attitude and ability to work independently or in a small team

Benefits

• Full‑time permanent contract: 39.5 hours per week
