Roles & Responsibilities

• Weekly teaching, full school day (8:45am-3:30/4:30pm) during term time.
• Permanent placement in a Sing Education primary school.
• Teaching from 1 to 5 days per week.
• Singing-led curricular whole-class music lessons – Nursery to Year 6 using Sing Education teaching resources.
• Lead singing assemblies.
• Lead choirs, lunchtime and after-school clubs.

Requirements

Qualifications

• University graduate with a degree in music or a related field.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong vocal skills with confidence to lead lessons and assemblies.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Capability to conduct whole-class music lessons.
• Basic keyboard proficiency for classroom use.
• Understanding of the National Curriculum for music.
• Proficient with ICT and able to use online systems such as G Suite.

Experience

• Experience in classroom teaching or one-on-one instruction.
• Previous work with children or young people in a teaching or leadership role.

Compensation

• Full-time salary PA: £22,379-29,288 (for 5 days per week) based on a 5-point progressive pay scale.
• Staff progress up the pay scale with each 12 months of service following a successful managerial supervision meeting; initial pay depends on classroom music experience and weekly hours.
• 7-40 hours per week – 38 weeks per year plus paid training.
• No PGCE or QTS required.
