We are looking for a friendly, compassionate and caring Cook to join the team at Wood House. The role involves working closely with the Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist and staff to deliver high‑quality, home‑cooked food to residents and their families while ensuring regulatory and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and serve meals for residents and other guests in a timely manner.
- Provide a varied diet, taking into account cultural preferences of residents.
- Plan and coordinate caterings for celebrations and other events in our home.
- Order supplies within the catering budget and company policy, using approved suppliers when the senior cook is absent.
- Maintain accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
- Participate in inspections by Environmental Health, care regulators and local authorities.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen by adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and welfare policies.
- Manage the catering team.

Working hours: 16 hours per week (09:30-18:00)
