About the Role

At Claystone School, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive. We are looking for a passionate and caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism and additional needs, helping them build confidence, independence and a love for learning in a supportive, inspiring environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils with autism and additional needs in their learning and development
  • Assisting with engaging classroom activities and personalised learning experiences
  • Providing emotional and practical support tailored to individual pupils
  • Helping pupils build confidence, independence and social skills
  • Supporting both indoor and outdoor learning activities
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Working collaboratively as part of a supportive and passionate team
  • Helping create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

About Us

Claystone School is a brand-new specialist school in Luton for autistic children aged 4–11, recently opened in January 2025. It is a small, independent setting supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of additional learning difficulties. We provide a nurturing environment where each child’s unique strengths and contributions are recognised and celebrated, helping them reach their full potential. For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are pioneering innovative, evidence‑based approaches that deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes for everyone in our care.
