Position

Activity Coordinator to join our team at Taunton.

Overview

Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides acute inpatient admissions service for men and women and a specialist inpatient service for men diagnosed with a learning disability. This role will be working 32 hours a week across a 7 day rota.

Compensation

£13.45 per hour

Your Day-to-Day

• Encourage patients to access and participate in a variety of activities, maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
• Plan and implement therapy programmes, ensuring appropriate materials are obtained.
• Contribute ideas, facilitate events and activities in a safe manner.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience and/or passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities.
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
• Creative flair and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable).

Requirements

• Contracted hours: 32 hours.
• UK driving licence (essential).
• Enhanced DBS check required.
