Class 1 Driver – Swindon

Overview

As a Class 1 Driver based in Swindon, you will support Royal Mail’s nationwide trunking operations, moving mail between depots on planned routes. This temporary, ongoing role offers flexible hours, with morning, evening and weekend shifts available. No handballing is required; your focus will be on clean, professional driving and completing thorough vehicle checks. Represent a trusted brand on every run, following schedules with precision while upholding high safety standards. The hourly rate ranges from £21.99 to £25.12. We seek skilled, safety‑driven HGV Class 1 (C E) drivers who take pride in reliable, organised work.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport mail between national sites
• Complete vehicle checks and uphold top‑tier safety
• Follow scheduled routes with precision
• Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run

What You Need

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C E licence (held for 2 years)
• A valid and in date CPC Digital Tachograph card
• 180 days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
• Max 6 points on your licence
• Able to pass vetting & DBS checks
