HIAB Driver – Long Term Ongoing Work | Penrith

Driver Hire Carlisle is currently recruiting an experienced HIAB Driver for long term ongoing work with our well known and established client in the Penrith area. This is a great opportunity for a skilled HIAB driver looking for steady, reliable work with a possibility of Temp‑perm.

The role involves operating a HIAB equipped vehicle to safely deliver and unload materials, so a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and compliance is essential.

The Role for a HIAB Driver

Driving a Class 2 vehicle fitted with a HIAB crane
Operating the HIAB safely to load and unload goods
Completing local and regional deliveries as required
Carrying out daily vehicle and crane safety checks

Ensuring all lifting operations are completed in line with regulations

Representing both the client and Driver Hire Carlisle professionally

What You’ll Need

Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2) entitlement
Valid and in date HIAB certificate
Previous HIAB driving experience preferred
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Strong understanding of site safety and lifting procedures
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude

£17.00-£25.50 per hour PAYE ADV
Temp‑perm after 12 weeks
Shifts run across Monday -Saturday from 07:00am starts
Average 10 hour shifts
