Working as part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned on a daily basis to the highest of standards. You will have an eye for detail and naturally high standards to meet our guests’ expectations of a perfect night’s stay.
Role title: Room Attendant, Hotel Du Vin
Hotel Du Vin provides a range of luxury and boutique hotels in 18 landmark locations around the United Kingdom. We are synonymous with style and hospitality, offering exquisite accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere and our trademark Hotel du Vin Bistros.
Interacting with our guests is part of the role, so conversational English is essential, as is the ability to work on your own for periods of time. You will be a vital cog in the Hotel Du Vin machine, ensuring all bedrooms are clean and tidy for our guests’ arrival and continued stays.
Shift pattern: predominantly set shifts, usually between 9am – 3pm, 5 days out of 7. Shift start times may be flexible between 9am – 10am. Early start times and flexible contracts or weekend work can be discussed at interview.
Fitness level is required as the role is physically demanding. Full training on chemicals and equipment will be provided.
Experience in a similar role isn’t required but a positive attitude and desire to make a difference is essential.
You will be eligible for our apprenticeship scheme after probation.

Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy guest bedrooms daily to the highest standard.
- Interact with guests with a professional and welcoming demeanour.
- Report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate team member.
- Follow health and safety and chemical handling procedures.
- Maintain stock and supplies for housekeeping carts and storage areas.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Conversational English; able to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to perform duties of a Room Attendant (standing, bending, lifting).
- Positive attitude and desire to make a difference in the hotel environment.
- Willingness to participate in training and apprenticeship opportunities.
