- Pay: £500 – £750 per week (dependent on assignment and experience)
The Role
A secondary school in Solihull is looking to appoint a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026 on a long‑term supply basis. In this role, you will supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 during the short‑term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintain a positive attitude to learning. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school by promoting high standards of behaviour and ensuring a calm and productive classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Have experience working with young people, preferably within a school or educational setting
- Be confident managing classes across a range of curriculum subjects
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate effective behaviour management and organisational abilities
- Be flexible, reliable, and able to work independently
- Be committed to supporting students’ learning, wellbeing, and personal development
- Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Graduate, Sports Coach, Youth Worker, or Learning Mentor would be advantageous
