The School and Role
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Salford is seeking a caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support within a Year 1 class. This role is especially suited to candidates with experience supporting pupils with SEND who are passionate about making a meaningful difference through 1:1 support. If you have a patient, resilient, and nurturing approach, we would love to hear from you.
You will work closely with individual pupils, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs, helping them build confidence, stay engaged, and make progress academically and emotionally. Your ability to form strong relationships and adapt your support style will be key to helping pupils thrive.
Requirements
- Genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Experience working with children with SEN in a nursery or educational setting
- Good understanding of the National Curriculum or the subjects taught in school
- Commitment to inclusive education and ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
- Can do attitude
- Ability to work in small groups
