Volunteer Coordinator – Flintshire Befrienders
About the Role
As our Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll lead a project that connects older people across Flintshire with friendship, support, and their community. You’ll recruit, train and support volunteers, build partnerships and relationships across Flintshire, and ensure older people receive high‑quality befriending support that helps reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet new volunteers who are interested in getting involved
- Match an older person with a befriender who can support them
- Attend community networking events
- Support volunteers on a 1:1 level
- Write progress updates for funders and supporters
- Plan a social activity or a celebration event
