We are looking to recruit four Job Coaches to support our Supported Internship learners to succeed in their employment placements and meet the expectations of their roles.
Key Responsibilities
- The post holder will provide 1:1 support for young people with special education needs (SEN) to fulfil the requirements of their job role on their employment placements as part of a Supported Internship programme.
- Providing in depth instruction and coaching to fulfil agreed job tasks on a reducing basis over time; and
- An ability to engage with employers and employee colleagues to provide the support and integration necessary to sustain the internship and potential future progression to paid employment.
Key Person Specification Requirements
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths or equivalent
- Evidence of relevant continuous professional development
- Qualification in Systematic Instruction (TSI) (willingness to work towards)
- Proven experience in a similar supportive environment
- Experience of working and communicating effectively with people with learning difficulties and disabilities
- Full clean driving licence
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment
- Enhanced DBS check
