What you will do

  • Independently chair and coordinate statutory annual foster carer reviews in line with Fostering Services Regulations and local procedures.
  • Provide objective oversight and quality assurance of fostering practice, highlighting areas of strength and development across the service.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of placement plans and ensure foster carers meet required standards to safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
  • Produce comprehensive review reports with clear recommendations to inform agency decision-making and service development.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989/2004, Care Planning Regulations, Fostering Services Regulations 2011.
  • Understanding of statutory IRO Guidance and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
