Teacher of Art & Design Secondary School in Blackpool, Lancashire – Part‑Time, September 2026 Start
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Art & Design for a long‑term temporary position in Blackpool, Lancashire. The Teacher of Art & Design role will commence in September 2026 and continue until January 2027, working part‑time Monday to Wednesday.
The school is a well‑regarded secondary setting in Blackpool, Lancashire and was graded Good at its most recent Ofsted inspection, highlighting its commitment to high standards, strong leadership and positive outcomes for pupils.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Art & Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Inspire creativity and encourage students to achieve their full potential
- Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum expectations
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider school staff
- Contribute to the continued success of the Art department
Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Art & Design in a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
- Have excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Be passionate about delivering high‑quality teaching and learning
- Be able to provide relevant references and undertake an enhanced DBS check
