HGV I Driver

Job Overview

Our client based in Harwich is a global business group operating across several key UK sectors including food, hotel, leisure and construction. They are recruiting permanent Class 1 HGV Drivers for their main distribution and warehousing site in Harwich, Essex.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to clients using the company’s new fleet of vehicles.
• Collect goods as required by the Logistics department.
• Work Monday through Friday with up to 2 nights out per week, with night out allowance and parking fees paid.
• Operate independently, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
• Occasional night working may be required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 HGV licence held for more than 2 years.
• Less than 6 points on the licence.
• Valid DQC and digital Tacho card.
• Permission to work in the UK.
• Professional, experienced Class 1 HGV driver with strong reliability and flexibility.
• Excellent customer service skills and confidence working unsupervised.
