We are looking for a reliable, proactive and flexible Driver / Caretaker to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role combining transport duties with general maintenance and caretaking responsibilities, supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of our service.

Role: Driver/Caretaker
Hours: Full‑time
Location: Holmfirth (HD9 3TQ)
Salary: £12.74/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport service users, staff, and visitors as required.
- Ensure all journeys are planned efficiently and carried out in a timely manner.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and well maintained.
- Report any vehicle defects or incidents promptly.
- Support passengers with boarding, seating and exiting vehicles in a safe and respectful manner.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and organisational policies.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks (e.g. minor repairs, decorating, furniture assembly).
- Ensure the building, grounds and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained.
- Conduct routine health & safety checks and report hazards or faults.
- Support with moving and handling furniture and equipment as required.
- Oversee external contractors and assist with site access where needed.
- Maintain stock of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Person Specification – Essential
- Full UK driving licence (appropriate category for required vehicles).
- Good driving record and confident driving ability.
- Basic practical skills in maintenance and DIY tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of health & safety practices.
- All successful candidates will be subject to a DVLA check.
- We do not offer sponsorship to work in the UK and require at least 6 months of UK‑based work experience in any sector.
