We are looking for a caring and nurturing Teaching Assistant, to support our wonderful children in our Key Stage 2 classes.
The role involves assisting the teacher with developing learning and fostering a warm, nurturing environment where all children can excel. This will be by both general Teaching Assistant classroom skills but also 1:1 support. The candidate should also have strong Literacy and Numeracy skills in order to support our children reach high standards in the core subjects.
The role may be physically demanding (Eg. joining in with movement activities, supporting with moving and handling).
This role includes 5 paid training days for professional development. There will also be opportunities for working as a cover supervisor for any candidates who may wish to further their careers in this way.
The successful candidate will:
- be kind and enjoy working with children
- understand how children learn
- be happy to work as part of a team
- have good written and oral communication and numeracy (minimum requirement GCSE English and Maths)
- be flexible and have the ability to use their initiative
- have high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
Working Hours and Salary
33hrs (number of hours per week)
8:30am – 3:30pm every day plus one additional 30 minutes either before school or after school each week for preparation.

Probationary Period
This post is subject to the school’s Probation Policy and includes a six-month probationary period. During this time, performance, conduct, and suitability for the role will be monitored and reviewed. Successful completion of the probationary period will confirm continued employment in the post.
