Horizon Care and Education has an exciting opportunity for a Teacher to join Tipton Green School in Dudley (DY4). The role involves teaching children with SEN needs at secondary level. Preferred experience includes teaching Maths, Science and IT.
Tipton Green is a specialist college providing high‑quality education for pupils aged 11–19 with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The curriculum is designed with bespoke learning plans and supports each student’s unique learning style.
Responsibilities
The Teacher will deliver lessons, plan and assess learning, support pupils with SEN, collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the therapeutic environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- QTS or QTLS qualification
- Proven teaching and learning experience
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience
- Outstanding classroom practitioner with energy, passion and drive to raise standards
- Initiative, vision, excellent planning and organisational skills
- Experience working with students with SEMH and additional needs
- Knowledge and understanding of developments in education
