Ivy House School invites applications for a Teaching Assistant. The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a special school environment, supporting children with autism, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and complex needs. The successful candidate will tailor provision to enable learners to thrive and reach their full potential.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years’ experience in a special school setting.
- Experience supporting students in informal, pre‑formal, and semi‑formal curricula.
- Ability to tailor provision for learners with autism, PMLD, and complex needs.
- Strong collaboration skills with families and professionals.
Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning activities across a variety of pathways.
- Assist in individualizing curriculum and daily routines to meet students’ needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic support.
- Facilitate small group and one‑to‑one sessions as required.

Remuneration & Working Hours
Salary: £19,796 – £21,808. Working hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days for INSET. Contract type: Fixed term with permanent options.
