Position

Teaching Assistant Level 3 and Midday Assistant

Teaching Assistant: Scale 3 point 5 – 6 (Hourly rate: £13.26 – £13.47; annual salary £16,263.39 approx.)

Midday Assistant: Scale 1 point 2 3 (Hourly rate: £12.65 – £12.85; annual salary £1,410.48 approx.)

Hours: Teaching Assistant – 27.5 hours per week (Part Time). Midday Assistant – 2.5 hours per week (Part Time). Play Worker – hours negotiable.

Term time only, Monday to Friday. Permanent. Start date: September 2026.

Your Role

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work across a number of year groups, as well as to provide midday support at lunchtimes. The successful candidate will also work 1:1 with a child with specific needs, ideally with experience working with children with Down Syndrome and Diabetes, though training can be provided.

About You

You will need to be committed to working with children, have a positive approach and work well as part of a team.

You will need to be flexible, resilient and be able to form strong relationships with adults and children.

You should also have an understanding of behaviour management skills.
