Job Vacancy: Senior Healthcare Assistant
Location: Sonya Lodge Care Home, 10 High Road, Wilmington, Dartford DA2 7EG
Contracted hours: 44 hours (to include – every other weekend free, as applicable)
Hourly rate of pay: From £13.50
Overview
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will provide outstanding physical, emotional, and social assistance to the people living at Sonya Lodge Care Home. We are looking for a positive, motivated individual who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly and capable of leading a care team.
Responsibilities
- Providing leadership to the care staff within the service.
- Providing care in accordance with best practice, policy, procedures, standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations, under the direction of the manager.
- Carrying out and supervising the care services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards.
- Maintaining skills at a current level, and undertaking such training and development as may be required to keep practices up to date.
- Supervising staff and ensuring all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
- Supporting effective communication with the residents’ families, friends, advocates or representatives around all aspects of care and wellbeing.
