Supply Science Teacher – Wirral – September Start

Role Overview

• Deliver high‑quality, engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential KS5 opportunities).
• Seamlessly step into different science departments to cover day‑to‑day, short‑term absences, or planned long‑term leaves.
• For longer‑term roles, monitor student progress, mark work, and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a positive, productive learning environment, ensuring continuity of learning.

Requirements

• Qualifications: A degree in a Scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science) and/or UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ECT).
• Experience: Previous experience teaching the UK Science curriculum at the secondary school level.
• Skills: Excellent classroom management, adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to make complex scientific concepts accessible.
• Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
• Location: Based in or easily able to commute around the Wirral peninsula (including Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington, and Heswall).
