SEND Learning Support Assistant

H3 5‑6 pro rata (equivalent to £25,583 – £25,989)
08:45 – 15:15 Mon – Fri
To support students with SEND to access the curriculum to enable them to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Help advance student learning in a range of classroom settings as needed.
- Provide appropriate in‑class support of students with SEND.
- Provide 1:1 support to targeted high‑needs students as directed.
- Work proactively with the SEND department and teaching staff to promote the inclusion of students so that they have equal access to learning opportunities.
- Document any meetings, behavioural or other significant issues on SIMS and in student files.
- Assist students with physical needs as appropriate and agreed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Successful applicant will have undergone employability checks and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
- Post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; a satisfactory disclosure is required.
- Experience working with SEND students is desired.
