About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Chesterfield. Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with personal care and emotional regulation when required.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
