About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Chesterfield. Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils with personal care and emotional regulation when required.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
