Teacher of Religious Education

Overview

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teacher of Religious Education for a 1-year contract, 2.5 days per week at a highly regarded secondary school in Maidstone. The role involves delivering lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4 in a calm and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Religious Education lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils.
• Plan and supply engaging, challenging, and rigorous content in line with the curriculum.
• Support the school’s strong values and positive learning culture.
• Contribute to the development of pupils’ attitudes, values and decision-making.

Qualifications

• QTS or PGCE with QTS, and a BA in a related subject such as theology.
• Experience teaching Religious Education in a secondary school setting.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Positive and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
