Role Overview
A rare and excellent opportunity has become available for a Handyperson to join a beautiful private residence in North London, near North Finchley. Set within approximately 7 acres, the estate offers a diverse and attractive environment, comprising formal gardens surrounding the main house, water features, a tennis court, paddocks, and stables. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well‑maintained and high‑quality private setting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day‑to‑day upkeep and smooth running of the property, working closely with and supporting the Property Manager. This is a hands‑on and varied position that would suit a proactive, well‑presented individual with a strong maintenance background, good initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential, as the role will involve a broad mix of responsibilities, combining practical maintenance duties with occasional client‑facing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and maintain company vehicles and keep them clean.
- General property maintenance including outdoor furniture, equipment and minor repairs.
- Clean the property, jet wash patios, shop, run errands, handle post and deliveries, and coordinate basic logistics.
- Walk dog and arrange vet or grooming visits.
- Maintain equipment such as bikes, golf cart and sports equipment, and assist the grounds team as required.
- Support the daily set‑up and presentation of outdoor areas, assist with event preparation and general household support when needed.
Support Tasks
The role also involves occasional client‑facing tasks such as driving, running errands and general support to ensure the property operates efficiently and to the highest standards.
Requirements
- Proactive, well‑presented individual with a strong maintenance background and good initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Full UK driving licence.
Schedule and Pay
Working hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Holiday entitlement of 20 days plus Bank Holidays.
Hourly Rate: £35,000 Circa
