HGV2 Driver 2026

Pertemps Milton Keynes is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver 2026 for a full‑time, temp‑to‑perm role based in Northampton. The position offers weekly earnings between £800 and £1000 and provides an opportunity for a permanent placement after the assessment period.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to retail stores across the UK, typically 6–12 drops per day.
• Handle 90% of deliveries as caged “drop & go”. Occasional unloading inside stores may be required.
• Work nine to twelve hour shifts, starting between 04:00 and 08:00.
• Follow a five‑on, three‑off shift pattern.
• Complete a 4‑hour driving assessment before starting work.

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly rate: £16.68.
• Overtime rate: £21.83 for a sixth shift.
• Weekly earnings: £800 (based on a five‑on schedule).

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (Class 2) driver licence with no more than 3 points.
• Valid Driver CPC (DQC card).
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.

• Willing to work a five‑on, three‑off pattern and start shifts as early as 04:00.
• Full training provided for new drivers.
