We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Cumbria for an enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fixed-term position for one academic year, working 0.5 FTE for the majority of the contract. The successful candidate will initially work full-time from 1 September to 16 October 2026 to provide maternity cover before moving to the part-time arrangement.
The role will involve teaching a mixed Year 4/5 class and offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where children are encouraged to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role
You will:
- Teach a mixed Year 4/5 Key Stage 2 class.
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and challenging lessons.
- Assess, monitor and support pupil progress to ensure all children achieve their potential.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Establish high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
The Ideal Candidate
