Pay: £120-£160 per day (PAYE)

We are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a number of welcoming primary schools across the Wisbech, Cambridgeshire area. This role is ideal for those wanting to gain valuable classroom experience, or for qualified teachers looking for flexible, local work without a QTS status.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour effectively
  • Support students across a variety of subjects
  • Work with pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2
  • Be adaptable to both last-minute bookings and scheduled assignments across local schools

Ideal Candidates

  • Have experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching, etc.)
  • Are confident in managing classroom behaviour
  • Are flexible and comfortable covering different subjects
  • Are a Cover Supervisor, aspiring teacher, trainee teachers
  • Can easily travel to Wisbech and surrounding areas

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a positive difference in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 as required
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions
  • Support pupils with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and learning delays
  • Assist with implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to ensure pupils can access the curriculum
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children with additional needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
