Do you have a strong passion for Autism? Looking for a role focused on barrier removal rather than heavy targets. The role is home‑based with travel across North Yorkshire (Harrogate, Darlington, Northallerton), working Monday to Friday 9 – 5. It is initially a fixed‑term contract until March 2027, with the possibility of extension. The position offers opportunity to progress within the new structure, receive training, and work in a supportive, passionate team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver employment support to a range of individuals with neurodivergent conditions on a 1:1 basis to help them get into work and thrive in the workplace.
- Assist individuals at all stages of their employment journey, helping them overcome all barriers.
- Support employers to become more neurodivergent‑friendly by delivering training, workplace assessments, and support for staff retention.
- Maintain a caseload and meet with employers as required.
- Attend job fairs and other events to promote the organisation’s services.
- Work a mix of home‑based duties and travel across North Yorkshire.
Qualifications
- Experience in employment support, such as a recruitment consultancy, careers advisor, or employment advisor.
- Experience in supporting people to achieve goals, for example as a learning support assistant, teacher, key worker, or support worker.
- Background or lived experience with autism or learning disabilities.
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Must possess a suitable vehicle and be able to drive across North Yorkshire.
