Salary: £13.47 per hour

Hours: 1 x 0 hours per week and 1 x 28 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

About The Role

As a Support Worker (Care Worker) you will get the opportunity to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You may also assist with medication, provide personal care and encourage people to achieve or maintain independence. This role is an opportunity to help older adults live their life how they choose and enjoy their later years. You will support people to stay active and healthy by encouraging good nutrition and promoting fitness and mobility as well as supporting emotional wellness.

No experience or qualifications are needed to get started. We will provide fully paid training and development. If you do have experience then you can take the next step in your career with us. We are looking for friendly, compassionate people who want to make a difference to people’s lives.

About Our Home

Inglewood Residential Home is a multi‑award-winning home in Cumbria which has been awarded “Outstanding” by CQC. Inglewood provides a safe, caring, home‑from‑home environment for up to 39 residents with complex health‑care needs. Situated close to all facilities in the market town of Wigton, we offer respite and residential care for elderly, frail or those with dementia. The site is also a hub within the local community which is used as a base by external groups and provides day care services.

Working within our Residential Care Service will typically involve shifts from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (days) or 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (nights), over 7 days, 365 days a year – including alternate weekends as part of a set rota and bank holidays.

Qualifications & Experience

No formal qualifications required. Experience in caring for older adults is a plus.

DBS Checks

This role requires an Enhanced DBS Check with an Adults Barred List check.
