About the Role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and proactive Secondary Teaching Assistants to support students across a range of secondary schools in Godalming and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and making a positive impact on young people’s learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support to students.
- Assist pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage student engagement, confidence, and academic progress.
- Support classroom management and behaviour expectations.
- Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- A positive, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
