Stores and Packing Operative

We are looking for a Stores or Packing Operative to join our leading water technologies company at our new manufacturing facility in Cressex. The role involves handling the Goods Inwards process, accurately picking parts, packing and consolidating orders, preparing finished goods for dispatch, and supporting continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick parts for production
• Efficiently and carefully pack/consolidate orders for production
• Prepare finished goods for dispatch, including packing, completing paperwork and loading goods vehicles
• Follow detailed procedures and work instructions
• Make simple judgement calls in straightforward situations using documented alternatives
• Support continuous improvement techniques/initiatives within the Stores area
• Maintain an effective 5S policy within work areas

Qualifications

• Good understanding of stock inventory principles and health and safety practices
• Ability to work effectively in a cohesive and motivated team
• Good IT skills; experience of Google Suite an advantage
• Disciplined, organised approach to tasks with prioritisation skills
• Self‑motivating, conscientious and organised
• Strong team‑building and motivation skills
• Flexible, innovative approach to problem solving
• Manual handling training preferred; training will be provided
• Clean UK driving licence desirable; forklift licence an advantage

Employment Details

Permanent, Full‑time – Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
