About the School
The schools I work with provide specialist education for pupils from KS2- KS5 with a range of needs from Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Complex Learning Difficulties & Disabilities (CLDD) and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and so much more. They pride themselves on a warm, nurturing, therapeutic and inclusive ethos, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning and creating a safe environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
The Role
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are:
- Experienced in supporting children with SEN
- Flexible and confident in adapting to a variety of needs and routines
- Proactive, using initiative to support learning in the classroom
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with severe and complex needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with individualised learning activities
- Supporting pupils with communication, engagement, and personal development
- Helping to maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment
Working Pattern
This position is offered on a daily supply basis, providing flexibility to suit your schedule. There are also opportunities for longer-term placements, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with both pupils and staff.
