Location: St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Croftdale Road, Blaydon-on-Tyne, NE21 4BG
Grade: MPS/UPS (£32,916 to £51,048 per annum, pro rata)
Hours: Part Time (0.4 FTE – 2 Days per Week)
Contract: Fixed Term until 31/08/2027
Required Start Date: 1st September 2026
About the School
All are welcome in St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School where everyone is special, cared for and challenged to be the best they can be. We are a ‘good’ rated school with 232 children on roll, including nursery. We provide a safe and inclusive school, celebrating each child and reflecting Gospel values of love, trust and respect.
We are part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of schools in Northumberland, Gateshead, Sunderland and Durham. It is the largest Catholic education trust in the North East of England.
Responsibilities
- Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils.
- Facilitate a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils as Class Teacher.
- Support and contribute to the school’s responsibility for safeguarding children, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
- Adhere to the SEND Code of Practice.
- Direct and supervise the work of the support staff in the classroom, to ensure that they are progressing the learning of pupils at all times.
