Kitchen Manager

Overview

Chieftain, Welwyn Garden City – up to £35,593 per annum plus bonus, full time, 45‑hour week. Kitchen Manager role in a family‑run business focused on quality and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Cook and present dishes in line with specifications in a busy environment.
• Deliver food to comply with GP% budget targets.
• Manage stock: stocktaking and stock control.
• Recruit, train and coach junior kitchen staff.
• Maintain exemplary standards of personal hygiene and presentation.
• Ensure food health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to develop and take on responsibility.
