Class Teacher
Permanent contract – variable hours (0.4 FTE – 0.8 FTE; initially 0.8 FTE)
Location: Northumberland (rural area)
Pay: £32,916 – £45,352 FTE (M1–M6); £26,332 – £36,281 pro rata based on 0.8 FTE
Key purpose of the role
- Meet the requirements of a teacher as set out in the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and the Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Be responsible and accountable for delivering inclusive, excellent classroom practice in accordance with the national curriculum, national guidelines and the school development plan; achieve the highest possible standards in work and conduct, and always promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils.
- Act as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating courteous, respectful, and polite behaviour in class and embodying the school values and a positive attitude.
The successful candidate must
- Hold a degree‑level qualification.
- Have Qualified Teacher Status.
- Have recent, relevant experience in a primary setting.
- Have excellent classroom management skills.
- Have experience of meeting a range of special educational needs.
- Hold the highest expectations of pupil performance.
- Have a sense of humour.
Working pattern: 4 days per week (to be agreed with the Headteacher).
