The role is based out of our Headquarters Chelmsford site and requires travelling to multiple police sites and partner locations, maintaining a reliable and efficient delivery schedule while upholding the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. The Mail Driver is critical in supporting key functions such as Digital Forensics, Property Services, and Crime Scene Investigation, helping to maintain the flow of essential materials that underpin investigations.

In addition to driving duties, the role is based within the Mail Hub, where responsibilities include franking outgoing mail, sorting incoming deliveries, and ensuring items are logged, tracked, and distributed correctly. The postholder will also engage with internal customers, providing a professional and helpful point of contact for mail and logistics enquiries.

This is a hands‑on role requiring a flexible, dependable individual who can balance driving duties with operational hub tasks, contributing to the smooth running of a critical support function across the force.
