Job Description:
Durham County Council is seeking a Specialist Support Interpreter to assist Afghan learners with lower levels of English. The role includes interpreting and supporting ESOL teachers in various locations, with a contract operated on a sessional basis. Successful candidates will provide valuable support to enhance learners’ skills across reading, writing, speaking and listening.
The position requires flexible working arrangements, travel across County Durham, and may involve manual handling activities. A strong rewards package, including 27 days’ annual leave and a Government Pension Scheme, is offered.
