Role Overview

Our client, a market leader, is looking for a Field Service Cleaning Technician. The role focuses on ensuring Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene, creating a safe, professional, and customer‑ready environment at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled cleaning of ATM units across assigned locations.
  • Clean all external ATM surfaces including screens, keypads, fascia, and cash dispensing areas.
  • Ensure hygiene of high‑touch points to reduce contamination risk.
  • Clean surrounding areas including floors, signage, and enclosures where required.
  • Use approved cleaning materials and methods to avoid damage to sensitive equipment.
  • Follow cleaning schedules, route plans, and service‑level agreements (SLAs).
  • Record completed cleans accurately using handheld devices.
  • Identify and report any visible damage, faults, vandalism, or security concerns.
  • Ensure sites are left clean, safe, and presentable for customer use.
  • Maintain company vehicle, stock, and cleaning materials in an organised manner.
  • Comply with all health & safety, lone working, and site‑specific requirements.
  • Handle customers in a professional manner during difficult high‑pressure situations.
  • Communicate with all Cennox personnel involved with the accounts to ensure associates understand the level of service performance to which we have committed.
  • Attend training classes to ensure fulfilment of Service Levels.
  • Work well independently and in a team situation.
  • Make recommendations for improving our service, reliability & performance.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in cleaning, field‑based roles, or facilities services (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation standards.
  • Ability to work independently while following structured routes and schedules.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and travelling between multiple locations.
  • Basic IT skills for reporting via mobile devices.
  • Good awareness of safety and public‑facing environments.
  • A flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn new skills.

Working Hours and Requirements

Hours of work are 9‑hour shifts with an hour for lunch between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm. Full UK Valid Driving Licence is essential.
