Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: Lewisham, UK.

Full‑time role (40 hours per week). Salary: £17.34 per hour, plus company benefits.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Hospitality Supervisor, you will lead the Housekeeping and Laundry teams across two homes – Rectory Court in Blackheath and the nearby Leah Lodge. Your duties will include:

• Co‑ordinating and assigning daily cleaning and laundry tasks.
• Developing and maintaining shift rotas.
• Providing training, mentoring and performance feedback to assistants.
• Ensuring adherence to housekeeping, infection control, waste disposal, COSHH, CQC regulations and health & safety legislation.
• Conducting audits of all housekeeping functions to guarantee consistent customer care and service, and to maintain the highest standards of furnishings, equipment and linen.

Requirements

• High cleaning standards.
• Working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Awareness of waste disposal and infection control measures.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload and work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing and managing change.
• Appropriate experience and relevant qualifications.
• Experience in cleaning and housekeeping functions.
• Energetic, passionate, proactive, flexible and adaptable.
• Awareness of COSHH and CQC regulations.
• Team player, self‑starter, influencer, leader, self‑motivated.
