MIS Data Reporting Apprentice

Salary: £24,784 to £26,952 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time, Contract (up to 4 years for apprenticeship)

Location: Ellesmere Port Campus

We are seeking a MIS Data Reporting Apprentice to join our busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable individual to make a difference in the provision of a quality data reporting service for learners and staff. A strong background in maths and computing with excellent problem solving skills would be beneficial. A keen interest in a career in data analysis with a desire to ensure high levels of accuracy in your work are vital for this role. You will benefit from the support of the wider team and also our other apprentices on the same programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a first point of contact for department support queries.
  • Assist in the testing and maintenance of the College’s reporting systems to ensure up to date information is available.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of the department’s procedures and processes.
  • To develop expert knowledge for the entire range of software packages and tools connected to the work of Information Systems (e.g. Pro Solution, Pro Monitor , Data dashboards, SQL).
  • Undertake specific projects and deliver solutions within agreed timescales.
  • To assist in data quality checks to improve data quality and optimise funding using internal and external software.
  • Develop, maintain & update dashboards and MIS reporting solutions, while looking at existing reporting systems and how they can be improved and automated.
  • Produce reports to analyse management information to identify trends and eradicate data errors.

Key Person Specification Requirements

  • GCSE Grade B (5) or above in English and Maths;
  • A minimum of A2 Grades BCC or BTEC Extended diploma grades D*DD in relevant subjects
  • Demonstrable experience of the ability to develop positive working relationships across an organisation;
  • Excellent computing, mathematical and problem solving skills; and
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
