The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful Maths department from September 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience and specialism. You will inspire students to develop confidence, fluency, and problem‑solving skills in mathematics, supporting them to achieve excellent academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Deliver well‑planned, challenging and engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Develop students’ fluency, reasoning, and problem‑solving skills
  • Use assessment data effectively to track progress and inform planning
  • Provide targeted intervention and support to ensure strong student outcomes
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources
  • Promote high standards of numeracy across the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Ability to teach Maths confidently at GCSE level (A-Level desirable)
  • A passion for making mathematics accessible, engaging and challenging
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to the values and ethos of a Church of England school
  • A reflective and collaborative approach to professional practice
