The Role

As an RE Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students engage with topics such as world religions, ethics, philosophy, and moral issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching RE across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering engaging lessons on religion, ethics, and contemporary moral issues
  • Encouraging critical thinking, discussion, and debate
  • Supporting students with assessments and exam preparation
  • Planning differentiated lessons to meet a range of abilities
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the humanities department

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching RE at KS3 and/or KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education and ethics
  • Confident classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for RE education and student engagement
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
