Join InHealth at the Jarvis Breast Centre in Guildford as a Trainee Consultant Mammographer within the Surrey & North East Hampshire Breast Screening Service, one of the UK’s largest programmes. The role offers structured training, mentorship, and a clear pathway to Consultant level, requiring an HCPC-registered Radiographer with a Certificate of Competence in Mammography.
Responsibilities
As a Trainee Consultant Mammographer you will:
- Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred breast screening services.
- Perform mammography examinations and develop advanced clinical skills across the breast imaging pathway.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team working.
- Contribute to audit, quality assurance and service improvement activities.
- Support the education and development of other imaging professionals.
- Engage in research and evidence‑based practice.
- Develop leadership and management skills in preparation for future Consultant responsibilities.
Qualifications
- BSc Radiography (or equivalent).
- Current HCPC registration.
- Certificate of Competence in Mammography.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for learning and professional development.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
Desirable
- Postgraduate study in breast imaging‑related disciplines.
- Experience in research, audit, or quality improvement.
- Advanced communication training.
