Year 5 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Lewisham

Full‑time position starting September. Rate £95‑£115 per day at a primary school in Lewisham.

Responsibilities

• Support one Year 5 pupil with ADHD on a one‑to‑one basis.
• Help the pupil remain engaged in learning, regulate emotions, and make positive progress throughout the school day.
• Redirect the pupil, avoid power struggles, and provide clear boundaries while maintaining a positive and supportive approach.
• Build a strong relationship with the pupil, acting as a patient, approachable, resilient role model.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience supporting children with ADHD and managing challenging behaviour.
• Calm, patient, and passionate about helping children succeed.
• Ability to remain professional, consistent and not take inappropriate language personally.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with pupils and staff.
