About the role
As a Customer Service Apprentice, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across key areas of the branch, building the skills needed to deliver excellent service to customers. You will rotate through:
- Trade Counter – supporting and serving customers face‑to‑face
- Internal Sales / Office – handling calls, emails, and customer enquiries
- Warehouse Operations – understanding stock, order fulfilment, and logistics
You’ll learn to:
- Communicate confidently with customers and colleagues
- Handle enquiries, orders and problem‑solving effectively
- Use internal systems and processes
- Deliver a high standard of customer service in a fast‑paced environment
Apprenticeship details
- Apprenticeship in Customer Service (Level 2 or 3 depending on experience)
- Duration: 12–18 months
- Study and coursework completed during working hours
- Regular support from a training provider and manager
Requirements
- Genuine interest in customer service and building a career
- Enthusiastic, motivated and willing to learn
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and logical thinking
- Well‑presented and professional approach
- Able to travel locally
